Measuring intelligence
Having students take a test as we know is one form of measuring intelligence. As teachers we have to also remember yes, giving students tests can measure intelligence but it is not the only way to know how intelligent a student really is. The article, Can Intelligence Really Be Measured?, discusses that IQ tests do not tell if a child or person is going to succeed or fail in life. Teachers and Administrators should use the information from IQ tests as a stepping stone and try to find the way a student likes to learn. Students get bullied often because they may have a learning disability. We have to watch out for these incidents.
The video to the left is Dr. Justin Bosek he has studied Neuropsychology. He discusses different types of intelligence. There is no one term that can properly define a genius. This video relates to intelligence to children because children do not understand that there are more levels of intelligence than just simply passing a test.
