Development of self
Children begin to develop a sense of self when they are born. We try to gain a sense of self. We must help children develop a sense of self in a positive way. Children need to have confidence in the things that they do so they don't question if they are in the right or wrong. The video to the right gives tips on how to build self-esteem in children.

Development of self beings at home. Parents try to help their child find out who they are however they can. If putting a shirt on makes a child more confident then by all means they will put on that shirt. Promoting self image is very important for children because they find out who they are in life and chase after their dreams.

In the video to the left Russell Bradly explains three activities he does with children to get an insight of their self image. The activities he explains would help children gain self confidence and discuss the choice they made during each activity. Promoting self image will help children realize that they might be bullied for the way the look but what other people think does not matter. What matters is what I think of myself.

The video to the right explains where our sense of self comes from. Where we develop our sense of self. This is key in teaching children how to find their self worth, sense of self. Knowing where our beliefs come from is most important in children. Children constantly change their mind but once they have found their beliefs then they start to gain a sense of self.
